| Mount Snow Ski
House FAQ
Q - Why should
I join this ski house?
A - We have been doing house shares
for 11 years. Our house has several key advantages: we are in West
Dover, right around the corner from Mount Snow and après-ski hotspots,
we give you six weekends plus midweek use free, you will have an
assigned room for the season, easy town road access and parking, clean
non-smoking house, all utilities are included heat, plowing, etc.,
liberal guest policy, accommodating hosts, and you will have fun and
meet new friends.
Q - What is
the house atmosphere like?
A - Our crowd tends to consist of
mature single professional women and men in their late-twenties and
thirties. We have an even mix of guys/girls in the house. There are both
skiers and snowboarders with a wide range of abilities. We have a small
set group that has skied Mount Snow for many years and know the area
well. Everyone is very friendly, laid back, and accepting of newcomers.
We also are friendly with other ski houses in the area, which could lead
to some group parties. The house is very comfortable and clean, but ski
clutter can develop. We love to have fun and party, both at the house
and at the local watering holes. We do not have lots of rules, except
the Golden one, and common courtesy is expected.
Q - What does
a ski share include?
A - A share entitles you to a bed in
an assigned room for all
scheduled weekends. If you can't make a weekend, you are welcome to
trade you weekends with other shares use webpage message board. In
addition, the house is available for mid-week use upon request. The
season includes November through April. Your share includes utilities,
firewood, plowing, household supplies, and general cleaning. Bottled
water cooler. Water for the house comes from an underground well and has
excellent quality. The house has a super sized hot water tank linked to
a high-efficiency boiler, which means there is an unlimited supply of
hot water for showers.
Q - Is there a
hot tub?
A - Yes, there is a new extra large
8-person type privately set off the rear deck. See our photos page for a
close-up. Don't forget your suit. Hmmmmmm
Q - What do I
need to bring?
A - Shares should bring their own
linens, towels, and toiletries. Food can be labeled and stored in the
kitchen. With the variety of nighttime activities, many people choose to
eat out. Occasionally, our house has an optional group dinner where we
split the cost. As far as gear goes, there are plenty of places to rent
equipment at reasonable prices, so no worries if you don't have your own
stuff. Our house is right off a flat, Walk to Moover pick up and it's
free.

the cost of a ski share?
A - For the 2005-2006 season, our
